When you use RedditFav, we collect the following information:
- Reddit Account Information: Your Reddit username and account ID, obtained through Reddit's OAuth authentication
- Saved Posts Data: Read-only access to your saved Reddit posts, fetched directly from Reddit's API
- Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you use our service (pages visited, features used)
- Payment Information: If you purchase credits, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
Important: We only request read-only access to your saved posts. We cannot and do not post, comment, vote, or modify anything on your Reddit account.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Authenticate you with Reddit and provide access to your saved posts
- Display your saved posts in our immersive viewer
- Process credit purchases and maintain your account balance
- Improve our service and user experience
- Send important service-related notifications
Product usage measurement
We automatically measure visits to the signed-out homepage and steps through sign-in, browsing and purchase. A random identifier in the existing first-party session links a browser visit to your account after sign-in. We record the traffic source (campaign source or referring hostname only), device category, collection-size band and event timestamps, without storing referrer paths or IP addresses in this dataset. We also record the days you visit and count saved posts viewed for at least five consecutive seconds in a visible tab. We use your existing account session, with no additional analytics cookie or third-party analytics service for this feature. Daily deduplication uses keyed hashes; titles, subreddit names and post URLs are not stored in this measurement dataset. Detailed daily records expire after 180 days (database cleanup may take a short additional time). Account-level measurement dates are retained while your account exists. Account creation, import status and payment records remain necessary operational records. The private dashboard shows aggregate counts only.
Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Reddit OAuth tokens are stored securely and used only to fetch your saved posts
- We do not store your Reddit password
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor

- Reddit API: To authenticate users and fetch saved posts
- Stripe: To process payments securely
- Google Analytics: To understand how users interact with our service
Your Rights
